This Privacy Policy explains how Pipit LLC (“we,” “us,” “Pipit”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use The Pet Issue mobile application (the “App”). By using the App you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Account information
Guest accounts. When you first open the App we create an anonymous account tied to a generated identifier so you can use the App without signing up.
Linked accounts. If you choose to save your account, we collect what your sign-in method provides: with Sign in with Apple, your name and email (or Apple’s private-relay email if you choose to hide it); with email sign-in, your email address and password.
Content you provide
Pet details you enter — name, species, breed, and traits.
Photos you upload of your pet, used as references to generate portraits.
Content we generate
The portraits we create for you, along with the style you selected and the prompt used to produce them.
Usage & device information
App activity such as generations, credit balances, streaks, and era progress, and basic timing/diagnostic data we use to operate and improve the App.
A push-notification token, only if you enable notifications.
Purchases
Your subscription status. Payments are processed by Apple and managed through our subscriptions provider; we do not receive or store your payment-card details.
How we use information
To provide the App’s core function — turning your pet’s photos into portraits.
To manage your free credits, share rewards, and Pro subscription.
To send notifications you’ve opted into.
To maintain, secure, and improve the App and prevent abuse.
How portraits are generated & who we share with
To create a portrait, your selected reference photo(s) and the prompt are sent to our image-generation provider, which runs the AI model that produces the image. We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, each under their own terms and privacy policies:
Supabase — authentication, database, and photo/image storage.
Replicate — runs the AI image-generation models on our behalf.
RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements.
Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store payments.
Expo — delivers push notifications.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Storage & security
Your uploaded pet photos are kept in private storage scoped to your account. Generated portraits are stored so you can access them in the App. We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Data retention & your choices
We keep your information for as long as your account is active.
You can delete individual pets and photos in the App at any time.
You can delete your account and associated data from within the App, or by contacting us at support@thepetissue.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA). Contact us to exercise them.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
